Bosco Delrey (US)
Bosco Delrey is een unieke artiest op Diplo's Mad Decent Label. Hij toont ons een heel nieuw perspectief op gospelrock door er een dansbare groove aan toe te voegen. Na mee op tour te trekken door de VS met Sleigh Bells en CSS kwam in april 2011 zijn eerste album uit, getiteld Everybody Wah. Bosco's muzikaal vakmanschap en productie verwijzen naar het tijdperk van het legendarische Sun label (zie Elvis Presley), southern rap, kerkelijke hymnen en dancehall. Hij maakt lo-fi gitaarspel weer actueel met eigentijdse beats en vintage synthesizers. Het resultaat is surrealistische pop, absurd, hoopvol en catchy! Denk Beck, Jon Spencer, Santigold,... Meezingen is een must! Ondertussen werden al enkel remixes gereleased door legendarische producers Mike D en Ad Rock van the Beastie Boys. Download diens remix of 'Evil Lives' hier! De nieuwe plaat van Bosco Delrey komt begin volgend jaar uit (Coop).
