About us
Democrazy is a concert promoter whose events are situated on various
locations in the city of Gent. Democrazy is particularly active in venues/clubs
such as Kunstencentrum Vooruit, Minnemeers, de Centrale, Charlatan, Zebrastraat
and Nebo Boot. We aim to work very close with various interesting players in
the local scène (KC Vooruit, NTGent, Boomtown, de Beloften, ...).
As a travelling club we aim to create a quality program with pop and rock
in a wide range of subtypes. Naturally this includes a.o. hiphop, dubstep,
drum and bass, pop, alternatieve rock, elektronica, metal, dance, funk,
soul, reggae, ...
We intend to offer a wide variety of musical styles, but sometimes we focus
on specific musical targets. Our activities concentrate on a club-like
program for audiences from 200 up to 1000 people, and include 2 festivals:
BoomBox/Boomtown and De Beloften (pop- and rockcontest).
Democrazy is granted by the Flemish government, and financially supported
by the city of Gent. Partners and sponsors are Studio Brussel, Clubcircuit,
Vedett, Coca Cola and Red Bull.
