Courtney Marie Andrews^(US)

Courtney Marie Andrews is een jonge singer/songwriter uit Phoenix. Deze 23-jarige deerne schrijft al songs sinds haar veertiende en in 2008 bracht ze haar eerste album Urban Myths uit op het River Jones Music Label. Haar leeftijd beïnvloedt haar echter helemaal niet want het lieflijke doch volwassen stemgeluid dat ze voortbrengt past perfect bij haar country folk songs. Het podium deelde ze al met verschillende bands van labels als Sub Pop, Barsuk en Saddle Creek. Inspiratie haalt ze uit haar reizen; vooral Schotland instigeert haar pen. Haar zeemzoete songs werden al opgevangen door o.a. Jim Adkins van Jimmy Eat World met wie ze samen op het podium stond voor verschillende duetten. 

Op 23 maart 2018 kwam haar nieuwe album uit 'May Your Kindness Remain'. Niets dan lovende woorden over dit album. The Rolling Stone zei onder andere: “She manages to expand her sound pallet and let shine her images of the other America even more powerful. And as singer she really takes a chance” ★★★★

Ook de titeltrack van het album, dat uiteraard ook 'May Your Kindness Remain' heet, werd zeer warm onthaald. American Songwriter schrijft: "The tune couples soulful crooning with elements of gospel and rock, which suggests a new step for the acoustic folk artist. But her classic and timeless sound still remains, recalling the likes of Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, and Lucinda Williams."
