DJ Rustam Ospanoff(US)

Rustam Ospanoff is a music event producer, promoter & taste-maker. He curates special events, concerts, as well as his radio show since 2000, in addition to being a club DJ. Originally from Kazakhstan, he is recognized far beyond its borders for his music prowess. His international reputation has come partly from hundreds of connections he’s made with musicians and DJs in the United States, Europe, Japan and elsewhere. Jazzystan music festivals he created have transformed him from a musical statesman to a tastemaker on the Kazakhstan’s performance scene.

DJ and Broadcaster. Red Bull Music Academy alumni (Rome/2004). Founder of one of the biggest music festivals in Central Asia – JAZZYSTAN. Over 100 musicians and DJs from UK, USA, Germany, France, Belgium, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Spain, Italy, Poland, Croatia have performed at Rustam's events since 2009: Jamiroquai, Incognito, Jazzanova feat. Paul Randolph, Marcos Valle, Gilles Peterson, OMAR, Soil & Pimp Sessions, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Jazzy Sport, Tortured Soul, Reel People, Electric Empire to name few... 

Jazz, Soul, Funk, Disco, Hip Hop, House, Techno, Beats, Afrobeat, Latin, Brazilian, Middle Eastern rare grooves... Whatever he plays, it is always fresh and eclectic. Rustam traveled across the globe and played gigs in London (Plastic People, Floripa), New York (I Love Vinyl @ Gallery LPR in Manhattan, TBA Brooklyn), Tokyo (The Room, JZ Brat), Hamburg (Mojo, Moondoo), Paris (Nouveau Casino/ La Machine de Moulin Rouge, Le Malibv, Le Mellotron, Downstairs), Brussels (Bonnefooi, Soul Inn), Gent, Zagreb, Vienna, Sierre, Geneva (Arnold & Julien), Prague (Akropolis), Shanghai (UNICO), Singapore (Tanjong Beach Club), Oakland (With Ge Ology), Bratislava (Nu Spirit), Moscow (Propaganda, Cult), St. Petersburg (Druzhba) and many more including big international festivals: Worldwide (France), Cully Jazz (Switzerland), Southern Soul (Montenegro), Terraneo (Croatia), Nis Jazz Festival (Serbia), Sunsplash (Turkey).
